Stay overnight at Seewlisee: register online, pay, and receive your permit.

Rules and notes

• Arrival is required by 18:00 on the day of arrival. For arrivals after 18:00, an overnight fee of CHF 30 instead of CHF 20 per person is charged for the first night.
• Wild camping is only permitted on the assigned area behind the lake. The area is signposted on site.
• The stay is at your own risk.
• No liability is accepted for damage to tents or equipment caused by livestock.
• Fireworks, open fires and disruptive behaviour are not allowed. Only the designated and marked fire pit may be used. Firewood is not provided and must be brought along by visitors.
• Toilet needs must only be carried out in the designated toilet.
• All waste must be taken away again (no disposal on site).
• Dogs are allowed but must be kept on a lead at all times, including in the camping area.
• The walk up to the alp is demanding and should not be underestimated. Please ensure suitable equipment and check the current weather conditions and possible natural hazards.
• The alpine farming team is responsible for enforcing the rules during the alpine season, approximately from 15 June to 15 September. Their instructions must be followed. Wild camping at Seewlisee is prohibited before and after this period.
• Seewlisee is located above 2000 metres. Outside the alpine season, the area is not suitable for wild camping due to snow, low temperatures and increased weather-related risks.
